CSIR – Institute of Microbial Technology, Sector-39/A, Chandigarh intends to engage Project Assistant, JRF (Project) on purely temporary basis on contract under DBT, DST, CSIR & Industry sponsored project at IMTECH. Besides following positions, a General Panel of Project Assistants, JRF (Project) & Research Intern will be finalized from amongst candidates for future requirements, which will be valid for one year or till finalization afresh panel. However, the number of positions may vary depending upon the requirement of the Institute.

1-    S.No- 1 

Project Title/Code : Wellcome Trust/DBTIndia Alliance Project entitled “Building a network of Arf-like GTPases and their effectors in phagosome maturation” (GAP-149)

Qualifications:

·   Essential – 1st class M.Sc/B.Tech in Cell Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, Life Science, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology

·    Desirable – Practical research experience in the above mentioned areas. Prior work experience/hands on training in the area of cell biology (including confocal microscopy), and host pathogen interaction related studies will have added advantage.

Qualifications:

·     Essential – 1st class M.Sc in Biotechnology, Life Science, Bio-chemistry, Chemistry, Bio Physics, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, Cell Biology.

·         Desirable – Practical research experience in the above mentioned areas.

Reservation: (i) As regards reservation, if all things are equal, SC/ST/OBC candidates may be given preference over General candidates so as to ensure their representation. ii) Out of above positions, Candidates belongs to PWDs may appear any of the above positions, however, they are required to bring valid Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Medical Authority in prescribed Performa (minimum of 40% and above disability) .

Such of the candidates who fulfills the eligibility conditions may please Walk-in for-Interview on 12.05.2017 at 8.45 A.M.(Sharp) in the Seminar Hall of this Institute (along with complete bio-data in the prescribed format (to be downloaded from IMTECH website Annexure-I) duly filled and signed, enclosing attested photocopies of certificates/testimonials in support of date of birth, qualification/ experience etc. and one passport size latest coloured photographs. Original certificates are also to be produced for verification at the time of Interview. Candidates reaching after 11.00 A.M will not be allowed to appear in the Interview.

1. Thesis submitted and result awaited candidates are not eligible for interview.
2. No TA will be paid for attending the interview.
