Applications are invited on prescribed format for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position available in the Department of Genetic Engineering, School of Biotechnology, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai – 625 021 to work on the DBT sponsored Project “Metabolically versatile Paracoccus sp., for the bioremediation of toxic and harmful xenobiotics from waste water – a prospect of genomic exploitation”.

Title of the Project : – “Metabolically versatile Paracoccus sp., for the bioremediation of toxic and harmful xenobiotics from waste water – a prospect of genomic exploitation.
• Rs.25000 + HRA for first two years and Rs. 28000 + HRA for 3rd year (as per DBT norms)*(*Emoluments applicable to the only qualified candidates)
Qualifications –
• Essential – M.Sc. (with at least 55% marks) in Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/Life Sciences
• Desirable – CSIR/UGC/DBT/GATE or Equivalent National Eligibility Test qualification is desirable. Experience in recombinant DNA methods, Genomics and proteomics is essential.
